Individuals Selling Katrina Pets

***UPDATE 11/23: I am no longer updating this lower portion of the blog. There are just too many individuals selling these pets, and it is too difficult to find them all. I WILL continue to update the above SHELTER LIST daily, so please continue to email me new shelter info as you find it.***

***Do a search on for pets named "Katrina" or "Rita" (or anything along those lines). A bunch of rescued pets come up for adoption.***

Arizona Humane Society has started adopting dogs out. Look on the homepage of their website. I've been calling DCI(prison) and left messages concerning 3 dogs that were there and have yet to hear back. I'm hoping that I will be able to track them down.

I am actually contacting Arizona today about the early adoptions. I have talked to Cheryl a few times before, and she seems very nice...hopefully she'll be willing to hear us out with postponing adoptions.

If you have located dogs that were at DCI, keep calling there. Leave a message for Lisa (the vet in charge). She is VERY helpful, and they have records of where every dog was sent from there. Make sure you leave the dogs ID numbers in your message.

A lot went to Arizona Humane (call & leave a message with dogs' ID numbers). About 40 went to California.Call (800)728-3273 ext. 43 to leave a message for Abbey Moore (she will call you back in about a day or two). She can tell you if the dog went through there, and if so, where it is being fostered in California
